Line Features

Most GPS-to GIS software will treat line features, such as wire or pipe; as a straight line between two stations. In the age of underground electrical distribution and flexible pipe, this is not always realistic. That is why we developed the RoadRunner line feature recorder. This application allows users to walk the length of a trench while a GPS point is recorded every second. After the receiver is docked, the line will be traced in the plant map. In addition to mapping trenches, our users in rural areas have found this application valuable for mapping roads that are not on their base maps. |
